An oval Papier-mache baby bath made by the company Thetford pulp Ware early 20th century.It is painted cream on the inside and cream with blue flecks on the outside.The bath was found in Sawtry and was used up until the 1950s .
Thetford Pulp Ware was a specially patented waterproof papier-mache like material it was made from jute bagging, wood pulp, vegetable fibres and rags. Founded in1879 the company continued producing Pulp-Ware until the 1950s when production shifted to modern plastics.
